Amazon merging Kindle documents and Cloud Drive, 10GB combined free storage

Good news this morning for Kindle owners; it seems you're likely to be waking up to some changes in the way your cloud documents storage works that results in a combined 10GB of free Amazon Cloud Drive. We've received a tip that this is pushing out, and that the merger of 5GB of Kindle documents and 5GB of Amazon Cloud Drive is now amounting to a combined 10GB account that covers everything. Pretty neat.

We've also confirmed that this is only applying to Kindle customers. Indeed, those of us without a Kindle are still languishing back on the 5GB free tier. The new combined account means that your previously Kindle exclusive 5GB can be used for other files such as images and videos – not forgetting Amazon has an iOS app for it's Cloud Drive photos! And that's just great.

Customers are being notified by email it seems, but if you've not seen one yet fire up your Cloud Drive and take a look!

Thanks Alex for the tip!

This Fractured Fairy Tale of French Fantasy Will Haunt Your Dreams

Moongai, the Electro Pop duo out of Nantes, France has a new album coming out. But rather than play a single track all the way through to show off their musical chops, the band instead performs a bit of each in their surreal music video. But as with all dreams, not everything in these fanciful visions is as it seems.

Vets miraculously save life of lioness who got mauled by buffalo

Siena is a lioness who recently got severely mauled by a buffalo. It's so bad that looking at her standing up with her leg almost ripped off her body looks like a surreal scene from a zombie movie. Happily, the vets rushed to save her life so she could take care of her cubs. WARNING: VERY STRONG IMAGES.

What a creationist version of the Cosmos would look like

Funny or Die pokes fun of those who like listening to stories over understanding science in its latest: Creationist Cosmos. It's like the new Neil DeGrasse Tyson Cosmos reboot TV show only made for Creationists. So instead of explanations about the universe, we get very unscientific reasons of why things exist. It's all in silly fun.

iMore show video back on iTunes and RSS!

It's been a long time coming, but the iMore show's video feed is finally back on both RSS and iTunes for your viewing pleasure. That it was missing in action for so long has been as irksome for us as it has been for all of you who emailed and tweeted us about it. But, long story short, now we're back!

Long story slightly less short, nobody was happy with the performance of our previous video host, not us, not you, not them. We got nothing but complaints about how long it took to download shows and how often they'd get interrupted when streaming. It wasn't the host's fault, they just weren't optimized for large video files. Wrong tool for the job. After a ton of searching, a ton of tests, and a ton of downloads and uploads, we found a place that better suited our needs and got everything back up running.

Well, iMore everything. I started with the iMore show simply because I had all the files handy and if anything went wrong, I'd only have myself to yell at. We'll get the other video shows back up and running as soon as possible, including Android Central and ZEN & TECH. It might take a few days because we're moving around a bunch of big files, but the new beginning is in sight.

If you've been missing our video shows on RSS or iTunes, here are the link so you can (re)subscribe, and there also YouTube, which carries all our videos shows as well. Thanks for the patience and the support, enjoy the shows!

This Intricate Creature Skitters Across Your Desk On 3D-Printed Legs

As a genre, "desk toys" are usually pretty corny, from Newton's Cradle sculptures to creepy meditation balls. But these tiny creatures—which are miniatures of the giant self-propelled sculptures designed by Dutch artist Theo Jansen—are anything but.
